Be Careful of Tesco's Free DVD/Game Rental Offer

I signed up for their 14 day free DVD and GAME rental offer, my account was activated but i made the mistake of selecting DVDs only on signup (the offer was for DVD and Games). So I logged in after i signed up and updated the offer to include games. The next day Tesco had charged me around £14. I called them up to ask why i had been charged not forgetting i had not even had any DVD's yet! The answer i got was just read their terms... "Please note, that any change to your subscription package or your delivery address details (including your postcode) during any free trial period, will result in the termination of the free trial and the start of your regular billing as described in the "Free Trial" section above." Just to warn others that if you have a free trial dont touch your account.

Katie's Gravatar The swines! I recommend Love Film, although I'm not sure they do games?

Glyn's Gravatar Thanks for the recommendation, it seems that Love Film do games also and offer the same free trial!

Chris's Gravatar Actually Tesco's DVD/GAMES rental is LoveFilm rebranded, only cheaper.
If you have had the free trial with Tesco, then you won't be eligible for a free trial with Lovefilm.

Glyn's Gravatar yes your right, on my bill in the samll print it does state LoveFilm :)

after a few phone calls they did refund my money, and I did continue after the trial, to be honest the service is not that bad, was just mad about the offer at the time.

I am not sure if its best to signup via Tesco or LoveFilm but if you signup via Tesco you have to call customer service at Tesco which was crap
